Tickets on sale for Sunshine Coast trials

Media release by Brisbane Broncos

Members-only presale tickets are available now, before public ticket sales on Friday morning for two exciting Queensland trial derbies, as the Brisbane Broncos prepare to call the Sunshine Coast home for a week in February.

The squad will arrive on the Coast ahead of their pre-season clash against the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday, February 12 with a week-long camp before the final trial against the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday, February 18.

Partnering with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, both games will be hosted by Sunshine Coast Stadium at Bokarina.

The Coast visit will see the Broncos hold an open training session, community visits, game development clinics and corporate functions.

More details on public appearances will be released in the New Year.

Sunshine Coast Council Economy Portfolio Councillor Jason O’Pray said hosting the Brisbane Broncos for games and training would be a real treat for Sunshine Coast footy fans.

“The Broncos are one of the most successful and popular sporting clubs in Australia, with the largest social media following of any sporting club in this country. So to host the Broncos for two pre-season games and a week-long camp is very exciting for our region and particularly for local footy fans of all ages,” Cr O’Pray said.

“Tickets to both of their pre-season games will be hot property so make sure you get in early to secure your spot at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

“The Sunshine Coast has plenty of terrific travel and accommodation options for Broncos, Titans and Cowboys fans plus anyone from outside the region who wants to head to the Sunshine Coast for a long weekend or a holiday.

“It’s great to have NRL action back on the Sunshine Coast to showcase everything our region has to offer.”

CEO Dave Donaghy said:

“The Sunshine Coast is a popular destination for many of our members, fans and Queenslanders alike, and this is a ripper chance to see some exciting derby action before Kevvie and the boys kick off the NRL season proper.

“We know it’s not just the people of Brisbane that love us, but many on the Coast too. I’m sure they’ll be two big weekends.

“The team is back and putting in the hard yards at HQ right now and we can’t wait to jump on the highway and get into camp up there in the New Year.

“It should create a real buzz. It’s always great to be part of the community, that we already have a strong connection with through our grassroots programs, led on the Coast by former Bronco Jack Reed.

“We thank the Sunshine Coast Regional Council for hosting us, and we hope as many fans as possible can be part of Broncos ‘Super Week’.”
